Back in 2020, my younger daughter, who was 15 at the time, was freaked out by all of the “social distancing” due to Covid. She’s a very physical person. Anyway, she asked if, on the nights my husband worked, if she could sleep with me. She’d hold me tight, her face resting on my hair. That was 3 years ago, and she still does…and I don’t mind. I’ll miss it when she leaves for college next month.
