My family loves watching movies together. My husband & I have been able to share most of our favorite childhood movies with our daughters, and we’ve been able to appreciate some of theirs. A memory: When I was about 9 years old I got to see a movie – “Once Upon a Time” – with JUST my friends. Our parents dropped us off & picked us up. We had a wonderful time & loved the movie. Fast forward to a few years ago. My husband found the movie on DVD & got it for me. I asked our girls if they wanted to see it & they said yes. The older one was literally the same age I was when I first saw it. As we were sitting down to watch it, I had a thought: what if the movie is actually really lame & is only colored in my mind by nostalgia & the connection of the 1st time going to the movies without parents? After all, I hadn’t actually SEEN the movie since that day! Thankfully, it wasn’t, and the girls loved it; we’ve even watched it a few times since!
We’re No Angels is a great film! It was one of my wife’s favorites, we’d watch it every year on Christmas Eve. Before it, I never knew Bogart had been in a comedy.

That is downright sneaky, but a win-win. You win if they abandon you and win if they don’t.
