I agree with Teena on that description. My irritation with requiring giving insincere valentines to each student in my kids’ elementary classes has carried over to my feelings for the adult version of the holiday. I don’t even want a valentine from my spouse, though I’m sure it would be sincere in his case. The kids seemed to love it, but they weren’t the ones who had to supervise putting names on all of them.
