I remember getting an annual review where my perfect attendance was marked as “acceptable.” My manager’s excuse was that this was just what was expected, so it didn’t deserve a better rating. From what I can gather, her idea was to make sure that nobody in her team got more than the minimum increase. The weird thing is that there were people on the team who actually liked her.
