I had a friend in high school who was blessed with a strong tanning gene. This particular year we also had a long-term substitute English teacher who, for reasons unknown to me, hated the two of us. One time my friend was horribly sick and was out of school for a whole week. The day before she returned to school her mom let her lay out in the yard (it was May) and she got a gorgeous tan. When she came back to school on Monday the Sub sent her to the principal’s office, claiming that the week off was faked! (Yes, she had both a parent’s note AND a doctor’s note.)
Ah… nobody transports spent fuel rods, they are still at every reactor site around the country. Yah can thank the state of Nevada for that, along withe the federal government.
And then there was the man that asked his wife to pack everything for his fishing trip. When he returned home, he was furious! He searched the suitcase thoroughly and could not find any clean socks! So, she replied, there was no room left in the suitcase, so I put them in your tackle box!Q
