When I was a lad, we used to take Sunday drives through the wealthy neighborhoods of Bergen County NJ and look at the $100,000 houses… inground pools, tennis courts… When my mother passed away, we sold our house for $180K. Needless to say, no pool, no tennis. Not even ping-pong.
