I used to read sections of Aristotle’s Politics and think, this is pretty much how the Chicago Daley Machine works. Did he and his minions read Aristotle, or did it just come naturally? If most of Aristotle’s scientific speculations are archaic and useless, are many of his ideas for politics and ethics also?
