No, I think the 10 and 12 refer to the dates, August 10 and August 12. But it still looks like we skipped a strip somehow, simply because of the lack of continuity in the story.
The important part of this strip is not “It’s Clive!”, but it’s “Why Clive?”. What is the trade value of Clive that he was brought in place of food or other trade items?
Clive has no sensory input at this point, so he can’t be aware of anything that’s happened since his removal from the PT. That is, if his organic parts are still alive. That platform alone can’t have the resources to keep him alive…can it?
Knowing what the reptiles ate, she would think food, but when she saw it better and saw the others reaction, well her expression says it all. So cute!I’m so glad that at last there is a little humor back in the strip. It stared out with quite a bit of humor, but the whole arc has been so intense, captivating but depressing. These are great wonderful folks and finally things are looking up.Kirbee probably doesn’t need the bandage, since it went “poit” and didn’t bleed.I kinda hope it doesn’t grow back. She is a great help to our lovable group.
Good supply list……looks like both children will be contented. Holly got her brain and Chic is distracted by the Ipad. Now what they have is enough to keep them going and items for trade.
The lizards packed well, didn’t need the items anyway since they now travel on the wind as dust. They must be in England, for Bovril was included, now for some Calf’s brains in milk and some canned M&V and bacon and we are set.Our survival kits included the malted milk tablets, which were about the only palatable things in the bloody kits. Some unlucky recruits ended up with older kits that only had Maltodextrin tablets. Which would either give you horrible gas or the turkey trots or both.I don’t now they expected us to evade capture if we could be both heard and smelled from 100 yards away. Now that Clive has joined the party our group is complete, but unless they can get him hooked up he is little more than a Christmas pudding stuck through with tiny wires.
Don’t eat that. The Bovril, I mean, not Clive. Don’t eat that either, though. The Bovril is probably there because people would rather eat all their beans before they’d crack open a jar of Bovril. After six years, the least desirable foods would be the ones left. The lizards apparently would rather eat their own fetuses than open a jar of Bovril or the other “edibles”.

Huh? I think someone put up the wrong strip. The file name for one ends with 12 and the previous one ends with 10, so it looks like we’re missing 11.

Looks like the kid in the background is playing a game on his tablet while all the adults work.

Not when they update Mon-Wed-Fri. As in August 10, August 12, etc.

I thought I had seen glimpses of Irving. Glad he made it. Now if they can just find an abandoned transporter to put Clive in…

So it looks like somebody packed them bags with some idea of what would happen back at Unity…

Don’t you hate when you lose your mind, and you find it in the last place you decided to look?

“It’s a Clive! It’s a Clive!” Doctor Frankenstein, who, come to think of it, was played by Colin Clive.

Poor Chic… I wouldn’t blame him if he missed his mom. She was the only family member who actually loved having him around.

Is the number 72 in the last panel on the box relevant to anything?

Actually, I think it would have been Sarah who packed the bags to bail out of the colony if/when things went south.
