Adam: Hey, buddy, how's computer camp? Any fun stuff? Clayton: Good. We're learning about cloud-computing. Adam: How will that help you create a maniacal robot? Clayton: It won't, but it'll eliminate traditional software. Adam: Shoot. I thought you'd be taught about maniacal robots. Clayton: Well, we do have an hour on Bill Gates.

Met “BILL” and he is a really smart “geek”. Time to bill the geeks for being rich enough. Time to bill the Oil Slicks for being rich enough. Bill me for being unemployed after 40 years. No work available You see I just turned 60 and I can’t do anything since I am OLD. Funny, sort of..

NAPAERIC Sounds like someone has the deadly sin of ENVY. In 9-5 you envy people who took risks on the market. Here you envy someone who believed in his dream, borrowed $5000, and turned it into reality. You also blame society that you didn’t read the handwriting on the wall and prepare for the modern world. What happened to neanderthals? The last time you were in a classroom was when?

The “modern world” that you’re suggesting everyone adapt to is one that by its nature distributes resources inequitably: technology, business, entertainment, athletics… They all reward a tiny number of survivors with 90% of the pie, and leave the remaining 10% to be spread amongst those who were not so fortunate.
You want to know how to be broke your whole life? Do the same things the ultra-successful did. Have the same education, the same drive, have just as good or bad an idea, and take the same risks, but miss out on the good luck (i.e. all those factors which are beyond one’s individual control).
You want to know how to have a dime that’s landed “heads” on ten consecutive flips? It’s simple: Start with about 1,000 dimes. Then that dime can write a best-selling autobiography revealing the “secret” to landing heads-up. Those other 999 dimes? They’ll never get a book deal.

Not saying that there aren’t factors which are beyond one’s control, but doing the best you can with the opportunities you have available, will do more for you than sitting around whining about what others have that you don’t.
