Carbon monoxide detectors can be had for about $20. Much cheaper than an ambulance ride—or worse. Thirty years ago we didn’t have a CO detector and fortunately lived to pay the hospital bills for the whole family later.
Armstrong is probably right this time. If the detector really were firing, it would be a lot louder and longer than that. Just like my smoke detector when it doesn’t like what’s for dinner.
