Coyoty, good one…argy, maybe a ponybot? And what? Won’t she need a laptop?…Hell, it’s 2015 already…Books? All of that stuff and more can be put on a disk, or be available on line…..All they should have to do is carry home their laptop..Or a smart phone or tablet or something……..No need for heavy 2 inch thick books….We already let students do research on their phones in class……….
When we were going through my mother’s effects after her death, we found a box of old schoolwork, report cards, and crayon drawings of our elementary school days. Included was a note from my sister’s 5th grade teacher that said, “Thought you’d like to see this” clipped to a piece of tablet paper..It turned out that my sister went to the park on her way to school one morning, and didn’t get to school until almost lunchtime. The tablet paper had on it, in neatly printed pencil, “Please excuse K——-’s absence this morning. She had a doctor appoynment (sic).” It was signed, “My Mother.”.Neither the teacher nor my mother ever said a word about it to my sister. It was a fun find.

Amazing that the school supplies are so 20th century to begin with. Maybe a pony isn’t out of place in that list…

She needs a pony to carry all the books and homework she’ll be saddled with.
