Back in the 60s one of my teachers told us about a “new” exercise programme that consisted of “just stretching, like a cat.” It wasn’t until years later I realised she meant yoga.
This was the same teacher who told us about seeing one of the first microwaves at a teaching fair. They heated up hotdogs in it, and passed them around to the onlookers. She boasted of being “too smart” to eat something that had only been warmed for a few seconds!
Lhasa Apso’s are said to be “cat like”. All of ours did, or do, this. Front, middle, back …hilarious … and that’s just to go out to pee. It took us five years of the soft touch to get our current boy to cuddle … on the way out the breeder’s door, she said, “He’s the alpha of the litter”. (Yes, we’re the omega, and love it [I got all the alpha out of my system as a mid-manager at Ma-Bell.])
@LeadingEdge and Kind&KInder,Both of you are so flexible that you’re not politically correct. That story was a favorite of mine. I never thought of it as racist, and it was in India, anyway, as others have mentioned previously.

“Hobbes” said he’s going to be too busy for a while to post as often as usual. I think he’s fine, just busy.
