That’s not half as lethal as the ’I’ll lie very quietly on the stairs at night" or “While you are at the stove, I will redeploy silently and lie right behind you so that when you move with a pot or pan full of sizzling hot stuff, I’ll be right where you want to step….”
Cat’s need to be near people and to monitor what is going on from key vantages sometimes translates as a low survival instinct.
Satchel sometimes acts like a traumatized individual. The zoning out sometimes seems like what I’ve seen from people with hard pasts. Maybe he’s got a touch of PTSD. Living with an obnoxious cat could do that to someone over time I’d think.
All of my cats learned early on to stay clear of my feet whenever I was vertical! And therefore each lived long, healthy, happy lives…18 yrs, 20 yrs, and 22 yrs!
Your brain waves aren’t exactly tsunamis, are they? Lol! Darby coins such great phrases! I don’t know if this was a freshly minted Fuzzyism, or if it’s been around a while, but it was a new laugh for me. I miss this strip from its full-time glory days, but I’m glad, at least, that we’ve still got Sundays.
asleef and kaladorn, one of my cats buried a chipmunk in my laundry basket. Didn’t know it till I smelled it…Had to rewash everything in the basket to get the smell of death out…Gotta put my laundry away sooner….

Would have been more appropriate if the moth had first flown in the other ear.

I like Satchel. He’s refreshingly clueless.

We had a cat who’d turn on the light. It wasn’t an intended consequence, he just like attacking things that broke the smooth plane of the wall.

It’s a cartoon, and that gives Mr. Conley the right to his ideas for it.
