Fun fact: The Washington Generals actually did beat the Globetrotters once…in 1971 at Martin, Tennessee…my current hometown.
Can’t tell if it’s a reference or just odd timing, but the Generals just stopped operations earlier this month. The Globetrotters owners did not renew their contract.
