Well, there’s your answer Lucy. Shockingly good advice from you, but the answer is a little up in the air. Either Linus hasn’t studied and that’s why he’s sure he’ll fail or he has studied but he’s being too pessimistic about how he’ll do.

Does the word “study” to Linus sound like the word “work” to Maynard Krebs?

Reminds me of that Tom Hanks/Leonardo diCaprio movie “Catch Me If You Can,” where diCaprio played a young con artist. A recurring joke is Hanks asking diCaprio how he passed the bar exam to start masquerading as a lawyer. At the end of the film, diCaprio finally admits: “Same way everyone else does. I studied my butt off for three weeks.”

This is one of the very few times when you should listen to Lucy.

“I can’t study, I’m too busy worrying about how I’m not studying!”

Maybe it’s just me but this seems really out of character for Linus and sounds much more like something Sally would say.

And he grew up to play C3PO. “We’re doomed!”

Well, Lucy finally gave advice that was worth way more than 5 cents! Which may show by Linus’s reaction to it, that people aren’t really looking for good advice, but advice that validates their own view.

I was the opposite. I always thought that I would get 100 on my test, and was disappointed when I didn’t.

Linus is brighter than me for a start.

I was never a brain box. I swear my IQ is only 1 digit.
