No, thank the DMV that you’re not moving. They won’t let him ride Esmerelda either.

It was Dusty’s daughter who had the wheels removed from his car.

My mom was still driving at 90+. She lived in her own home in an over 50’s community. She used to pick up her younger (80yr old) friends to take them bowling, to bingo and the library.

She was a better driver than a lot of 65 yr olds, never got into an accident aside from closing her garage door onto the back bumper once.

But, she always drove too fast. My husband nicknamed her Mario. She never got a ticket. Mom claimed she could smell radar. I think the police just did a double take, not believing a tiny little white haired lady would drive that fast.

Several years ago, there was an arc where Dusty was calling around to scrap yards looking for wheels, but I never saw how it came out. And of course, he did rent a van to rescue his horse, so he apparently still has a license. Dunno why he doesn’t defy dear daughter and just get the car operational- 500 bucks would do it, other than maybe the tags and insurance.

I wonder if elisaanna’s mother was from Pasadena. There’s a song about her … although in 1963 she might not have been a little old lady yet.
