Anyone else quit updating some apps because of their new access requirements?

I have a real problem providing access to my contacts, not everyone on my contact list needs to know everything about me.

Depending on the particular app, I also refuse to share my identity and/or location.

This is why I don’t have a “smart” phone. The more I hear about “apps”, the more I don’t want one.
