I’ve always wanted to see the giant meatballs of the Serengeti. According to ancient legends, the giant jars on the Plain of Jars in Laos held mostly Basil and Oregano.
At first glance, Scott’s work looks like Larson’s. Berke Breathed’s work looks like Garry Trudeau’s. The Pope looks like Peter Sellers. Deep Space Nine looks like Babylon 5. Some critics look for things to criticize and condemn with hardly any exposure to it and see only the similarities, not the differences that make all the difference.
It does have a very Larson feel but I think Argyle Sweater does too but I still like that and so does a lot of fans. Being a cartoonist myself I understand influences in life showing in your work. I like what Scott has done on his comics so far and I’m going to follow his work! WELL DONE SCOTT, WELL DONE! keep it up.

I actually had to say that out loud before it made sense. Sigh, not enough coffee this morning.

So that’s where lion’s head meatballs come from!

I’m keeping my fingers crossed this strip is not a rip off of Gary Larson. It is okay to be an admirer but this panel is awful close to a Larson work.
