Do kids or anyone else still play with boomerangs anymore? In the mid-1960s my brother and I purchased a (hardened plastic? plexiglass?) boomerang and played with it constantly. We got impatient taking turns, but the shop where we bought it in our small town sold out, at least for a while. My brother carved, sanded, finished, and polished a wooden duplicate, carefully copying the dimensions of the original, so we had two. Hours of fun! And, P.S., the stance/throw depicted here wouldn’t work… though the gag works just fine.

This was so long ago that the town was still known as “Two Rocks.”
