Others are correct, the glue is no good these days. In the past, I’ve had an envelope I was mailing open up on the way to the post office. I don’t use tape, though. A glue stick works well and looks much better (invisible.)
I get so many of those self-stick address labels from companies that I don’t have to spend money on tape or glue sticks. I use on label on the front of my envelope & 3 on the back to add to any sealing quality, be it bad or good.
