helmets for everyone!

I once saw a high school game in which the quarterback made a marvelous handoff fake. So good that it fooled everybody—including the refs, who blew the play dead. The team scored on that play. But the refs ruled that the play was already dead; so the team lost both the touchdown and the down.

OK Frazz. How many people have collapsed and died in Marathons in the past ten years?

You probably got me there, Seed. I just get a little tired of the air of superiority Frazz sometimes displays…

Of course sports has risks of injury, especially extreme sports at the professional level. Sitting, however, is probably worse for you than mild sports.

I think Frazz is speaking of him hitting his head on the bleachers while cleaning up afterwards! I sure had a few bell ringers under there, myself!

Well, I will add that I am no real fan of football, and some of the other “easy targets” of Frazz, but it does get old.

But again, not old enough to make me quit reading the comic. I’m probably a little snobby myself, when you get right down to it.

How about boxing?

Relatively mild compared to that “Extreme whatever-it-is” that takes place in the ring these days.
