Most people won’t bother with a so-called documentary.And lets be honest, any idiot who doesn’t realize Football is a hard-hitting dangerous sport, that (like ANY contact sport) can cause lasting injuries, is well, an idiot. It won’t stop boys and men from playing the game. Even when I played back in high school, I was well aware of the risk -but try telling any teenager something is dangerous or may cause them lasting pain, and see what effect it has. I played football, wrestled, then went on to play in adult leagues for wrestling and soccer -today I have arthritis and other maladies from old broken bones and just wear and tear -and no regrets. We had fun. These guys in the pros aren’t going to turn down a chance a million-dollar paydays because of the risk of a concussion. They aren’t so stupid they didn’t know the risks.
Let’s deflect the issue at hand by creating another “gate.” The N.F.L. is doing everything in its power to avoid being honest about the issue. When the word “integrity” gets uttered by Goodell, or any owner, I want to…..
