Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for September 22, 2015
Transcript:
Marigold: My home is in a local meadow. It is a magical place, and only the YOUNG AT HEART can find their way there. It is also conveniently located for OAT DELIVERY. Phoebe: Plain oats? Or, like, oat pizza or something? Marigold: Last week, the delivery troll was NOT young at heart, and it took him HOURS to find the place.

When I was a kiddywink, there was a large meadow near my house, where the neighborhood boys (not girls, as a rule) played. There were obvious remains of a running track that always puzzled me, but it was not until forty years later that I learned that, back in the 20s, it had been the athletic field of the local prep school, until a storm in the 30s washed away the footbridge leading from the school to the field.

I imagine oats must get pretty stale after a few hours… :P
