I think Gertie is strong enough to use her trusty bat to knock some sense into the bunch, but give Red Tommy a double whack. Call the cops and have them hauled off to prison where they “WORK” for their food instead of stealing.
Jollyjack “have a dump Gertie eruption”? ..I can’t remember a strip with Gertie that DIDN’T have several bashers whacking at her. Every time she’s even mentioned or shadowed Mt. Devonshade rumbles, grumbles and erupts.

Where’s Earl been lately? I hope he happens by in time to clobber Red Tommy, or at least to blow taps over his corpse.
I’d also like to see some of the other great old characters like Upton O. Goode and Ramona Lisa. I doubt anyone can talk sense to the Pye gang, but once (if?) they recover from Gertie’s righteous wrath, I’d like to see Upton try. After all, he himself rose above a “checkered” past.
