i’ll stop being sarcastic and/or facetious when you stop explaining jokes and stating the obvious. of course it is possible that i’m really thankful for your comments for reasons beyond your understanding and beyond the need for explanation here.
I don’t think there’s any greater chance of getting billdi (or shytimes) to lighten up on other people than there is of getting Joe to think differently than he thinks. I.e., anyone who holds their breath (or loses their cool) waiting for it to happen is out of their mind.
I’m still thinking about Delores’ parka of four days ago, which is just what a kid like her probably needs in the Adirondacks. I’ve usually been there in summer (I remember needing 2 blankets on an August night, as well as sweating half to death on a July afternoon), but I was there one January morning when the Lake Placid bobsled run’s thermometer was off the bottom end of the scale (-40 degrees) and they couldn’t wet the bob run because all their spray turned to snow before it hit. I touched a bolt on my roof rack in Saranac Lake and my fingertip instantly turned pure white (luckily, it thawed immediately in my mouth). The locals shrugged and admitted as it was a cold day.
I live in the same state, but NYC is a totally ‘nother world.
How Jack can imagine thriving in the Caribbean is beyond me.
