How did it get to be Saturday already? It’s a puzzle!

Truth to tell… it’s still the very tail end of Friday in my neck of the woods….

But in Comics Land, where most of us actually, if not literally, dwell… the page just turned,

and it’s Saturday, or at least, as someone dear to me always said..

“Close enough for gubmint work”….

Claude is puzzled, too… Why do his best ideas always get shot down?

Sometimes they seem to be shot down before he tells anybody.

Sometimes before he even finishes thinking them.

How does THAT happen?

I know the feeling, Claude.

It’s a puzzle.

“Bleeping slowpoke!” SWAT “Left lane camper!” SWAT “Use your turn signal!” SWAT.

I did not intend to look at the puzzle tonight, as it is late. But they just kept jumping out at me! That is until #8. Number nine will have to wait till I have had my beauty sleep.

Now we know the reason.

Less than two minutes despite a splitting headache (Föhn).

I notice that over on the C & C puzzle, the newspaper is dog-eared. Huh? Huh?

Alright, you don’t have to be like that. They can’t all be gems. {grumble}

This behavior is 100% natural for Cleo. You know how bassets instinctively hate burrowing rodents. So, whenever Claude has one of his hare-brained ideas, she acts.

Still didn’t get all of them, but I know why Cleo wants to use that slingshot. Claude came up with an idea to get either Sherpa fixed or to get them on the main page. Get a cat. Cleo does not want the competition, even if it means getting to the main page.

Time to say goodnight, Cleo pals…

Ever since Claude saw the PSA for neutering your pets, Cleo has been careful not to let him get any bright ideas.

The aha moment that amounted to nothing.

And that includes back seat and passenger side drivers.

Anyone that drives slower than me is an idiot, and anyone driving faster than me is crazy. :D

Yikes! I’m not seeing things! I only got 7, one that I looked at and never saw, and the other one was Susan’s subtle one that I didn’t see, either. Harrumph. Maybe next week.

I got 8 really fast and had such high hopes. But, nope!! That ninth one was sly. Maybe next week. I do like this comic, though!
