Ned: Something's going on...it's swarming with reporters out there, but I can't tell why I don't see any smoke or hear sirens, so it's not a calamity news event... Man: What kind of reporters...news, sports or paparazzi? Voice out of frame: If you're elected, who will you be wearing at the inaugural ball? Ned: I miss the time when there actually was a difference.

I hope he wears a Little Black Dress. That should shake things up in DC!

Flash!! Candidate refuses to name designer of inaugural gown. Our investigative “reporters” will dig and dig, hound her endlessly until we can bring this momentous information to you!

Coronation or inaugural or arraignment or commitment or sentencing. Just take your pick. Wasn’t there a time when a person was judged by their qualifications and not by the responses of a media survey.?

Best Political cartoon in a long time. Unfortunately the general populace is kind of treating the election as a sports event. The media attention is catering it too.

@pcolliThe biggest laugh of my day so far, after reading all the comics in my morning paper and the ones I follow on GoComics. Thanks for the laugh!

To me, it’s six of one and half a dozen of another. Yes, the media reports every little thing, but the candidates aren’t offering much of substance, either.@katzenbock: So right about governing being complex. Many Americans want a movie-hero type who’ll fix everything immediately. That has never happened and never will. That’s reality and many Americans hate it.

Yet no one mentions the source of the truth; a bunch of 20-somethings swigging caffeine drinks on TMZ.

strictures, that’s pretty cynical but probably true…What they really want is ratings….That’s why we see Teflon Don on in prime time almost every night….Also I’m not sure the various media really understand the issues enough to ask decent questions…It’s almost they haven’t studied up on the issues….. …They never ask the questions I would want to ask!….I bet a lot of people feel that way…

stricturesBeen there, got the treatment. When I ran for Texas state school board, not only would no medium cover it, the Dalla Snooze flat stated “because no Democrat is running, only a Republican and Libertarian are in the race”. My request for a correction, that a Green was too, was met with a verbatim repeat of the lie a week later. Most only learned I was running when they read the ballot in the booth.

In my up bringing a Hoover sucked….

While there is little doubt Hoover was homosexual – displays of homophobia are often the structure of a “closet” – I find negligible evidence of cross-dressing, since the only account came from a mafioso and it was well known that Hoover’s compulsive gambling kept him under their control.
