This naive Opal doesn’t quite wash.

I agree with Squizzums. Opal’s usually brighter than this.

There are plenty of bright people that fall for these scams for a variety of reasons. I’m not a psychologist, but they could explain.

Older people, just like younger ones, sometimes make bad decisions.

i had a close friend get roped into a “russian bride” scam about ten yrs ago. the dumb*ss sent them over thirty thousand bucks- all his money.

Someone is trying right now to pull something similar on me now, for my car…I have him all excited…. He doesn’t know who he’s dealing with…just another Craig’s list scammer.
