    As opposed to the male stare, which is just creepy unless conducted on a New York subway at 3 in the morning by the obviously sex-uesque T-Rex. Then it’s… hmm. Timer expired again.

    mulvey LATER wrote that the paper in which she talked about the male gaze was meant as more ‘provocation’ than ‘well-reasoned argument’. sweet! this is a great way to silence critics. it is the ‘hah – you fell for it suckers!’ school of debate. the only allowable response is ‘oh man, you got me! you got me!!’

    Actually, it’s kind of a pity T-Rex doesn’t go into more depth applying it to video games. Personal opinion, but I think it’s a bit more applicable there these days.
