@Jsano tbh I think he is when it comes down to it. The other girls have most likely been more like good friends he went out with, but Trudy being an actual girlfriend. It could ofc also just be him being excited to the thought.

37 and I really enjoy this story arc because love stories are always cool. And Nate seems mostly unlucky in life anyway.

I’m 81, so far the oldest to respond. I have loved comics all my life, they are always the first thing I read in the morning paper. So glad so many strips are still around that I enjoyed in my youth even though they have new artists. Blondie (the best of all), Dick Tracy, Gasoline Alley (the characters have aged in real time – Walt is about 110 now). I’m glad to be among such a diversified group who have responded so far – thanks, Carl Craig for asking.

I am so relieved! At 71, I thought I was the only old guy reading Nate. I’ve never understood why BN is marketed as a comic “for 8 to 12yo’s”. Humor is humor no matter how old you are.

MEANWHILE…..to the strip, yes? Let’s wish these guys good luck. There are so many things that can botch it, e.g. a repeat of Francis having to say “please say you’re NOT breaking up with her to start mooning around Jenny again”……or: Kim and Chester cool their romance and Kim gets hot for Nate again…….or: Trudy becomes attracted to Artur……etc., etc. & so on, so: Lets.
