I used a cane the other day, when my back went out. The tip of the cane hs a tendency to slide on the floor, so the tennis balls are to get a grip on the floor, so the cane doesn’t slide out from under u, when u lean on it. I used my Dad’s cane, and kept dropping it. Seemed to be more trouble than it ws worth.
U cld use it for self defense, tho., or get a hat and dance wth it, like the old time movies. Anyone, remember “Bat Masterson” or “Stead” and Mrs. Peale?, (I think those names are right? He ws a spy and used his cane for spy stuff! Had all kinds of gadgets on it. Boy! Am I old! LOL Could hv used a cane in the old “Get Smart” episodes. He used to talk in his shoe. First cellphone!

I’ve never understood that. Why don’t those things come with tennis balls already attached? And why do you need them anyway?

I usually see the tennis balls on the bottoms of walkers, and they seem to work pretty well!
