What a wonderful scene of complete harmony between labor and management. I know we like to talk mean about Dale, Joy, Marlene, and all the others, but there’s something positive to be said for anyone (except Jerry, of course). Here is an example..It takes a special kind of guy to make U Store-It a career. Not just any guy could stand it. Any lesser mortal would quit after a few weeks. But Dale has that special quality that makes him the perfect candidate for a job with the primary characteristic of mind-numbing tedium. The district manager recognized years ago that Dale’s mind was already numb as Hillary’s hoo-ha. .But even near total numbies heed help getting through a day at U Store-It. That’s where their office equipment comes in. There’s the computer. They used to try some of the more action type of games, but Pacman required a bit more hand-eye coordination that either of these guys had left after their childhood nutritional history, and Microsoft Bob Geo Safari over-taxed their knowledge base. Computer Solitaire was a God-send. Burl’s swamper there likes to start a game and immediately push the HELP button to make all the cards fall into place so he can watch them jump around and celebrate his victory. .Coffee helps a lot. Their Manchurian-made Mrs. Coffee leaches just the right amount of plastic chemical breakdown products into the brew to keep them stimulated. .The only fly in this idyllic working man’s ointment is the occasion customer who disturbs the carefully crafted rhythm of their day with annoying questions, like, “What happened to my stuff?” It’s at hose times that they can only survive by waxing philosophical, and it is at one of those moments that we find them today.

Rats! You’re right. And I know the difference in their hair. Hard to tell them apart, otherwise.

Since “Hoyle” is in the trash, does that mean Burl doesn’t play by the rules?

This conversation must’ve started with: “Hey, did we die and this is heaven, or did we die and this is the other place?”
