    JOE-ALLEN -

i apologise for the usage of the “slang” term.

i just wanted you to see that your statement that; “transsexuals are exclusively heterosexual in their sexual orientation” was incorrect.

i KNOW two of the competitors in part one of “The Race”. they are declared gay/homosexual males and would not have it any other way..

It would be quite ironic if Lila managed to meet a nice man at the gay wedding reception and Boyd didn’t.

(My apologies for commenting on the actual comic strip; you may now resume your regular discourse…)

    JOE-ALLEN -

mea culpa for the incorrect quote.

i think that MOST drag queens are heterosexual in their gender identity, but homosexual in their sexual orientation.

transvestite - a person, and especially a male, who adopts the dress/behavior of the opposite sex for purposes of emotional or sexual gratification. so, a drag queen can be a transvestite in their sexual orientation.

and, yes, most transsexuals use their transvestite orientation until they go through their hormonal therapy and, sometimes, surgery to become who they are.

this is what has been told to me by my homosexual, drag queen friends. if you’d watched The Race, part one, you’d know what i mean by “declared”

@myming — transvestite is not an orientation, it is the desire to dress in a manner traditionally associated with the opposite gender of one’s culture, for whatever reason. It is most often a fetish: that is the transvestite is hetero and gets a sexual thrill from the manner of dress, or is gay and gets a thrill from attracting the attention of males by the “camouflage”. Transsexuals, on the other hand may cross-dress to feel more in tune with their gender identity.

Hetero transvestites are generally private & unlikely to want their fetish known (for hopefully obvious reasons), so most flamboyant “drag queens” are gay, transsexual or bi …

Gee JOE, I wouldn’t obsess about other people’s sexual quirks. Why? Does it affect me? Is it my damned business what others do? Why, you could become as obsessed as a person who worries about the spelling of a book written in a dead language 100 years after everyone who knew the protagonist was dead. And that would be silly.

Instead I would worry about oneself and living up to one’s beliefs. Others have other beliefs and it is not up to us to judge. I have a dusty book that says a lot like that.
