I’m still amazed that the real problem with the bike-thing never came up: it’s not practical for transport, so it’s a luxury. and those two are constantly low on money, heck, they live in a one-room-flat! the danger of being killed in an accident (wich happens to people on slower bikes just as much) kinda diminishes before the danger of starving because you bought it…
