Q-tips do one of 2 things, both bad.1. They strip all the wax out, letting the skin dry out and crack opening the door for outer ear infections. 2. They pack the wax down deeper and it’s harder for the doctor to get it out. I’ve seen it packed all the way down to the eardrum. Painful to remove.
I’ve used Q-tips for decades and never had a problem. Recently, a doctor looked in my ears and said, “Wow, really clean!” and gave me a funny look. No joke!
