Could Burl be the love child result of an unfortunate assignation by someone very senior in the company?I am reminded—as ever—of a possibly true story, but never mind abut thatA certain crusty Navy admiral called a naval facility and the poor lowly enlisted man answered the telephone in a flippant manner. The admiral haughtily dressed him down and asked him if he knew who he (the caller) was. After being told “No” he announced that he was Admiral By God His Honor the Greatest. The quick-thinking enlisted man apologized and asked the admiral if he knew who he was. Upon being told “No,” he quickly hung up.
