For a lot of kids now, all rooms are the same…all spaces, including cars, buses…motel rooms on the family vacation…

The phone, the tablet, maybe a portable gaming device and a DVD player….Everywhere is home… but everywhere is the same.

Punishment means time with no devices…which is why some kids see a trip to the beach or the zoo as punishment.

Tony’s question is “Is your room fun?”

    My answer is: that’s personal!

How about “go sit in the corner facing the wall”? It worked for us back in the day.

My room is for sleeping and things that are nobody else’s business.

Actually, the room I am in right now, the TV Room, is often full of fun (when I’m there anyway), and currently a Perry Mason rerun is on the flat screen, with Lt. Tragg giving Mason a hard time, as usual…

I haven’t heard any complaints from the hubby so I’m going with yes..I’m also the mean and evil mom because little man doesn’t have a TV in his bedroom or a cell phone. Video games are only allowed in his room when it is game time. When he gets sent to his room, he can either read a book or pout.
