I guess it’s also a good thing [again] that Wally is faster than Holly.

The fastest mouse in the wastes, save for one kitty.

But, yeah, understandable they’ve been keeping tabs on their brains lately. The last time they let one get taken away, it was put into a flying robot body which threw a considerable monkey wrench in, albeit fake, rocket ship.

Holly isn’t fit to be outside Endtown. Can we take her back before she gets herself or someone else killed?

Okay. So “they can xxxx well hear us,” says Wally. Does that mean Holly has blown their cover?.If she hasn’t, then we have some pretty heavy damage to our required suspension of disbelief for this story….I like the plot twist that it is Holly, not Kirbee, who is causing all the problems. Holly has shifted in personality and is not as sympathetic as she once was..Consider, two years ago, it was Holly who talked Wally into giving Jim and Sarah a chance..Of course, we all know how that worked out. But I give Holly credit, for none of them could have known what was going to happen..Now, Holly and Wally have swapped roles. Wally is the one for inclusion; Holly is not..Once again, survival is at stake..We assume Wally and Holly know how to survive. We are less sure of their guests – not just Kirbee, but Chic and Irving, as well..Holly’s attitude toward Kirbee is especially frustrating given that Kirbee had been instrumental in Wally and Holly’s escape. Not sure whether Holly knows it, but Kirbee went hunting for Holly when Wally was about to allow himself to be killed..Kirbee’s done a lot for this group. Holly’s attitude is disturbing, even if it is explained away as mere female jealousy..As for me, I was ready for door number three on Wednesday, thinking that maybe it was Holly’s turn for schism syndrome..Now, that’s a plot twist that would be very, very interesting…

Another possibility is that the brain we see here is actually the decoy Wally mentioned. He knows they do not want to lose any of their ’minds".

Well that’s twice he’s caught her (though I must admit, I’ve always thought she wsn’t running as fast as she could have the first time. :) No such doubt here.) ;-)

It’s equally possible that the dittos have created an illusion of Clive, which just appeared out of nowhere when the screaming started, and the MUTTs are simply wondering why they hadn’t seen something like this out here a minute ago.

Holly has had some very bad experiences with the mutts. She and Wally went through a lot of danger from them at Flasks rocket. There were at least 1 other time too.So to have one bump into her, waking from a deep sleep I would have probably sreamed and ran too. Holly has had a very rough time of it, losing her baby, the milk trial, the rocket trouble, and several other things.I don’t want to rush to judge Holly because she freaked out at the mutts. But I don’t understand her animosity toward Kirbee other than jealousy.Surprized that Wally was able to catch her!Hope she doesn’t freak out about Clive, but she may see that they TSs were looking for him. Sorta like in the original “red dawn” when the one guy went back to the group and gave them away because of he, can’t remember for sure, he got chipped or something.

The last time that brain was powered there were Jim & Sarah were still around, two that were likely wanted Topsiders. A couple of volts from now that brain is a big intel leak- would have been better off letting it burn in Unity.

The brain calls to them…….its a brain thing…!Now Holly goes running back…..CLIVE!!!!!!But like I noted yesterday…..they need to get clear.Topsiders are not stupid…..they will know something is out there as Clive has no legs obviously so self transportation is out.I don’t think its a ditto illusion as I think Mutts could tell the difference.

At this stage of their adventure it might be for the best to let the topsiders have Clive back. After all, they know how to care for him and Wally & Co. have no way (at least for the foreseeable future) to do anything but keep putting him in danger.

In the future they may be able to rescue him again, consider that the topsiders would not know that his mind has been ‘revived’ and he could function as a valuable spy.

I’m trying to figure out if the ditsy lizard girl is getting through this so well because she’s surprisingly good at surface survival, or just too dumb to panic, either way the irony of this scene isn’t lost on me.

Holly may be resentful of Kirbee because she sees her as a threat to her relationship with Wally. Kirbee HAS proven herself useful in saving their lives and providing knowledge, so that Wally is less dependent on Holly for help. The flirting doesn’t make her feel any better, either.

If the Mutts see Clive then the topsiders see Clive.Which means something or someone brought him there. The Brain the Topsiders have been tracking suddenly just appeared physically, after tracking a phantom signal for so long. Perhaps some type of electromagnetic interference was diluting the signal all this time.My guess it was an unintended consequence of the dittoes.Every piece of matter, every ray of sunshine, every drop of rain is a manifestation of electromagnetism. However they are put together these bonds of energy that make them up are just that.Energy..Which can be measured and quantified.Energy that can be read as interference..or a pattern, if you will. The Dittoes are bending light itself, transcending the physical by doing what is just now becoming less impossible day by day in our own amazing world.http://news.yahoo.com/ultrathin-invisibility-cloak-match-background-205121324.htmlThe Dittoes have arrived!Well sort of..The amount of energy they must pull in from somewhere and apply to reality must be fairly large. On a radio tuned to an unused frequency it may sound like lightning mixed with static.Anyone grow up with an AM radio?Darn near any electrical activity caused static to be heard. My fish tank heaters were the worst.Made stealthy nighttime listening sessions difficult as a kid.Even the planets themselves make a tremendous noise, try listening to a radio telescope recording of Jupiter sometime. There is a lot going on in there..

Maybe it’s me, but has anyone considered the possibility of a group of unattached mutts? Ones who managed to hold a part of the persons they used to be and got away from the TS’ers. I’ve suspected for some time now that PT brains had some kind of homing beacon attached, so that they could be retrieved if something went sideways. These mutts seem to be a looong way from any TS base and there’s far too many of them to be a normal grouping like we’ve seen so far.

One angle not mentioned, but entirely possible is, Holly gets killed trying to save the stupid brain in a box and Wally and Kirby live happily ever after. About had it with Holly’s drama and Kirby definitely grows on you.
