Your problem, Lars, is that you don’t realize the sign is referring to the hour that starts at 5 a.m., because “Happy” people like to get an early start.
Er, uhm, that would actually be 0500, Sheik. 1700 military time is 5:00 PM.
I had a similar problem. The USMC called it “Unauthorized Absence.” Now I trust Micky Mouse.
