Hope is on the way? Sending hope isn’t much help. Didn’t work as a campaign slogan either.Antibacterial soap isn’t much better than regular, and possibly contributes to super germs.
This could get ugly. The last time Burl took his shoes off at a medical facility, they called a funeral home and warned them it was a “decomp” case. But I see he finally found a “doctor” that accepted the health plan from his work. Well, he’s not really a doctor, but he does like to wear a white coat and examine obese middle aged men. <Cough, Burl. Was it good for you?> .Joy is a terrible liar. I mean, how often would Burl find an abandoned baby, the only kind he would ever get to hold. And he would only visit someone in the hospital if they were deathly ill and owed him money. When the doctor turns his back, she’s going to pocket a bunch of those tongue depressors.
And I agree with Old Dog. There are still some anti-bacterial soaps on the shelves which contain triclosin, which affects the thyroid, and is not biodegradable. I carry a small tube of foaming soap in my purse, rather than risk the stuff in the dispensers.
Burl’s being the REAL well-behaved patient so’s he’ll get that big lollipop in Doc’s lab-coat pocket!! He’ll even submit to a SHOT for one of those babies!!
This is the only comic that I always enlarge. The drawing detail is awesome, from the band aid to the used tongue depressors to the helium tank, all very funny.
I’ve got a theory about those who visit this and similar sights and complain, they are too dumb to realize how ignorant they are. It doesn’t make sense to them, and obviously it’s not their fault, so the strip must be at fault. Basically they don’t know what they don’t know. (Try figuring that one out). If you get it, you get it.
