I think what we’ve got here is a sheep in wolf’s clothing.

Happy 4th of July everyone. Praise God for our country and praise Him for our freedom. Thank you to all who serve to keep that freedom.

Hey, if you were a dog or a cat, you would know those mad bombers are out to get you!

My Norsk Elghund can relate to that! He does NOT like unexplained loud bangs!!

Thank God My Lab has a safe bathtub to hide in.

Sometimes those fireworks take me right back to ‘Nam…not a nice experience!!

I just love the smell of napalm in the morning.

My cats are like that too. They hate fireworks, poor things.

Poor thing, Wolfie! I can imagine how terrify he was while the fireworks explode up the sky very loudly.

Sheik Yerbouti, you post the picture of USA with flag. It looks so great. :-) But you already cut the state of Maine in 3/4. You need to shrink it to make it look full of picture or pull the end of it a little more. :-/

Thanks for the thought, Joe, but for us the celebration is on July 1st - Canada Day. We did have fireworks and my dog reacted pretty much the way Wolfie did.

Sorry Wolfie, my pups did the same thing when they were young… Both the my kats and dogs hate fireworks!!!

I can’t imagine what fireworks must sound like to our dogs, etc. with their much better hearing. We’ve certainly had our share of dogs who freaked at this time every year, especially when we had neighbors enamored of setting off fireworks weeks in advance and after the actual date.

That being said, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, USA! Thanks to all of those past and present who have served to make us a free nation. Also a belated HAPPY CANADA DAY!
