Good thing she didn’t order swordfish souvlaki, one of my favorite (pre-mercury scare) seafood treats over in that country where I have spent a lot of time….

When I did that I received a lecture on table manners, my brother had to sit by dad, and we sat QUIETLY with our hands folded until dinner arrived. Were my parents wrong? Where were Social Workers when I was 6? I wus abused

It depends on whether they plan on eating or playing with the sword fish.

I’n thinking you’d better cancel the whole rest of the meal, no matter what it is. Better yet, escort them out and suggest they go to some place where playing with your food is encouraged.

This side of kindergarten, I can’t think of such a place.

Johanan, try the playground at McD’s or BK

And lemon meringue pies for dessert!

JanCinVV, they won’t let you take food into those playgrounds (or the ones at Chick-Fil-A either).
