My daughters & I were cat-sitting for a friend. I was explaining to them some of the body language of the cat. At one point I said, “I speak fluent feline.” The cat turned and gave me a look that was so obviously “Say, WHAT?” that I laughed and amended, “Sorry…I UNDERSTAND fluent feline.” The cat nodded and went back to playing with my younger daughter.
