    They’d be fired if they worked at Comcast or Centurylink for not keeping the customer on hold long enough.

    My call centers answered within 3 rings, 90% of the time (I love computer stats) and got a real person. Manager had a terminal and took overflow.

    Lol in all fairness, that customer kinda had that coming. Being on hold for 20 minutes can be frustrating (been there, done that) but that’s no excuse to treat the person at the other end like garbage. They’re humans too, trying to make the best of a crappy job with crappy pay.

    Being on hold I can live with. What really pi$$es me off is when I have to repeat my full issue over and over with each agent I speak to. Going. All. The. Way. Back. To. Genesis. Don’t those people speak to one another?

    Working at a call center does have some advantages. Even though I dislike this job, at least you can hang up on someone if they act out of control. Can’t do that face-to-face.
