My iron is cordless. The cord is attached to a stand that the iron sits on to heat, then I can move the iron anywhere I want and not worry about that too-short cord.
They’ve forgotten to point out the “heat selector” which jams at a setting which will melt half your clothes, have no effect on the other half, and is actually not useful for ANY fabric.

Forgot the extension cord too thin to carry the wattage needed to heat the iron.

Humm I think you need to go shopping for a better iron. They are out there.
