When I was little, my older brother had all the Archie comics – the stack was as tall as I was!

in an all-too familiar tale…I had the very first issue of the Fantastic Four. Kept it for years. Sometime during college, my mom tossed my collection.

I’m probably older than most readers, but I still have most of the comics I bought with my allowance and job money in the mid-60s to early 70s. Not as valuable as people think, but I’ve looked into it and I should clear a few grand when I sell them… (Then again, the “stack” would be larger than the one referred above.)

That said, mine got beat up from military moves (as a kid). I can’t complain though. A high school classmate had a collection that dwarfed mine… but it was thrown out by his folks—his dad was a judge—because comics were childish…

No comics, but i wish i had my 45s from the 50s and early 60s, and all my black light posters from the psychedelic 60s.
