I’m probably older than most readers, but I still have most of the comics I bought with my allowance and job money in the mid-60s to early 70s. Not as valuable as people think, but I’ve looked into it and I should clear a few grand when I sell them… (Then again, the “stack” would be larger than the one referred above.)
That said, mine got beat up from military moves (as a kid). I can’t complain though. A high school classmate had a collection that dwarfed mine… but it was thrown out by his folks—his dad was a judge—because comics were childish…

When I was little, my older brother had all the Archie comics – the stack was as tall as I was!

in an all-too familiar tale…I had the very first issue of the Fantastic Four. Kept it for years. Sometime during college, my mom tossed my collection.

No comics, but i wish i had my 45s from the 50s and early 60s, and all my black light posters from the psychedelic 60s.
