I don't want my mother and my girlfriend planning my party! I've got to go stop them! First, let me ask you- have you decided what you'll be wearing to this party? What? No! What? They have. Do you understand? Those women have known what they'll wear to this party since before you and Sheila even met. Don't... Go... In... There...

Sage advice. Your father loves you, Toby. But if I know teenagers, it will go unheeded.

I was five years into our marriage before I figured that one out. The other half of that issue is to choose your words carefully when she demands your opinion on what she is wearing. Sometimes she expects a specific negative observation; a safe bet is to suggest another pair of shoes.

I just shove anything on. Unlike some girls, I’m not bothered about clothes.

No they haven’t! They THINK they know what they’ll wear, but it’ll take them an hour trying on everything in the closet before they make their final decision. :(

You no longer have a choice in the matter. Sit back, relax and enjoy.

@Number ThreeSame here. This is an awful lot of stereotypes, Greg….

@LaughedMyselfFuzzy The stereotypes of course have exceptions, but as a rule have earned their place. For example-She says “You’re not wearing THAT, are you?” He replies “Uh, no, of course not.” and changes clothes. He says “Are you sure you want to wear that?”She dissolves into tears. True of most couples!
