Yes, spoiler alert but it is years and years away. At this point I’d say most of us know the story. If they don’t, by time the kids are all grown up it will be 12 years at least.
This was another true-to-life scenario. I was down and out. Katie brought me a blanket and offered to rub my back. True to the punch line, she now has two sweet kids and is a wonderful mother.
My Lizzie left her Bunny with me when I was hospitalized. I think that was the only time in years she slept without him. The nurses got quite a kick out of a 35 year old with a stuffed bunny in bed with her.
Thérèse had trouble standing up to her parents. She dated, got engaged to and married Anthony because her parents approved of him. She got pregnant because her Dad wanted grandsons. Which of course led to her feeling like a failure when she had a girl. Problem was that when she grew a spine and decided she wanted to do what she wanted, Anthony & Francie became collateral damage in her quest to be what she wanted instead of what Mommy & Daddy wanted her to be.
This reminds me of a time when I was babysitting a 5- year-old. She was down for a nap and I unintentionally fell asleep on the couch. When I opened my eyes, there was a pink bunny by my head. She had covered me with a blankie. I said to her, “Did you tuck me in?” and she just smiled. So cute!

In the future, she’ll be the stepmother of a certain Anthony Caine’s daughter Françoise (whose own mother Thérèse wanted nothing from her).

Aww, Elizabeth, you’re so sweet! Everyone, no matter how old, needs a little TLC from time to time.

There are days when we all need a blanket and a bunny (or a bear, or fuzzy monster, or…)

Kids are capable of acts of random kindness, and generosity, that is often lost by adulthood.
