    I am thrilled to see that Walt and Skeezix have had a chance to take their annual walk in the woods this year! Almost as good as Dagwood and Blondie’s Hallowe’en party this year!

    A nice break from the weekly drama, but I am curious to see how that turns out. ; )

    The formula for cats that you’ll find most often is: first year = 16 human years, second year = eight more human years, then each successive year = 4 more human years. If it were simply one to fifteen, then a typical indoor cat who died at 17 would be 155! Not to quibble, but I’m a cat person with an old cat, so I think about this sometimes.

    Nothing Halloween related this year? Maybe towards the end of the week when Walt Wallet attends the funeral for Mutt’s partner Jeff.

    It’s been a few years since the last walk in the woods (3? 4?), but it’s nice to see it again now.

    I see it as letting the light in as the days get colder. First the color of the leaves gives all of daylight a glow, and as they fall, the trees put on their Winter Lace.

    And the shadow of the trees on a field of pristine snow under a full moon is breathtaking.

    It would have been better if the art had been more realistic, with not all the cartoony trees in nearly every panel. Still, at least it’s a walk in the woods strip.

    I think Walt is on his way to the comics “old folks home” (aka old comics home).I do hope Jim keeps writing this strip though.

    what……one cat year equals 15 human years….well if that were true…our 105 year old tabby can friskily leap like a kitten over and over iif it thinks it’s catching a mouse…

    @Lois

    Copy the Blondie address over here so we can all enjoy the party !

    XXXXXXXXXXXX

    As far as I know – the only place to find Blondie and Dagwood these days is at Comics Kingdom. Many local newspapers include Comics Kingdom comics on their web pages. The best way to find Blondie and Dagwood is to Google Blondie Comics Kingdom.

    Another place for finding Blondie and Dagwood is at

    ARCA MAX

    I am posting a link to go to the Arca Max version of Blondie and Dagwood’s Sunday funny – but I don’t know how long it will remain up. As a general rule, Go Comics takes a dim view of people posting links for OTHER comic pages.

    Kinda think that is off. Our oldest cat made it to 20, which means that he was – what? – 300?

    Is Scanerelli planning to take Walt that far? Seems so.

    Strolling through the achieves and realized that my dog is almost as old as Walt…. 16 dog years = 112 human years
