If memory serves, medieval Europeans bathed once a month. Is Earl trying to live in those times?

Someone once said there was one bath in Versailles.

Good thing Earl lives in the temperate zone. If he were to live in my area, his b.o. will smell for miles.

Wearing the same clothes does not mean no baths. Just change underwear.. But wearing them all week?I think this is a rerun anyway. Opal seems to wear the same dress a lot/

Opal should keep quiet about clothes. She wears the same dress 365 day a year.

We love Pickles. It starts our day out right! Some people take it too seriously as if it is a lesson; it’s not; it’s just fun.

Unless a shirt has some food or other ‘stuff’ on it most guys would re-wear at a later date without washing it ….. and even then some guys would STILL wear it – even WITH food or ‘goo’ on it.Exceptions are usually made for human body secretions, though…….

Earl will never change. Opal said almost the exact same thing to him back on 11/4/2013!

the upper classes would use lots of perfume to try to hide the other smells. also some people believed it was not bathing that kept you healthy

YETHSIR ! Reminds me of the good ol’ days from the 8th grade ‘til graduating from high school. Used to wear the same pair of levi’s for at least a week before Mom screamed in utter despair when she found it out ! She’d wash that pair, ruining them of course in our way of thinking in those days. But; had another pair she didn’t know about !

I’ve always worn my outer clothing twice before I wash it. I hang things in the closet inside out so a) they can air out, and b) I know that item has already been worn. And it’s not washing that wears things out, it’s putting them in the dryer. That stuff in the lint filter is your underwear, y’know.

A tee shirt that lasts for 30 years is not worn and/or washed often. Rotating about 20 Tee shirts gives them about a 3-4 year life. Maybe longer for the really well made(expensive) ones.

Don’t “sweat” the small stuff, Opal.

    They’re only clothes.

I thought comic strip characters wear the same clothes every day.

Had a pair of denims that I wore every day until they could stand up by themselves. Then they were perfect.
